Susanna's Prayer

Yesterday at lunch, Susanna prayed aloud, which is something she rarely does.

"Deaw God, thank You for this wondayful food and fow all the good things You giveded us. Thank You fow the beautiful sunshine and nice things outside. Take cawe of cousin Andwew in Iwaq and keep him safe. Thank You fow loving us and all the good things You do. I love You soooo much! And when You do bad things, I will not love You any mowe. In Jesus' name, AMEN!"

Okay, so we're still working a bit on theology.....and learning that all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.....

But at least she didn't pray that cousin Andrew would kill all the people in Iraq and not just the bad guys like Luke did last night. And he was quite adament, even after being corrected, that Andrew should get ALL of them. Hm. We're working on Luke, too......

Keep working on them. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Train, as Gramp used to say is not a one time thing. It's on-going. (And he continued to do so until he died!)
We chuckle over some of the prayers you kids used to say. Things we never thought of to thank God for, or the reason we're thankful, etc. Gave us much food for thought! Love you all.

Thanks for the pronunciation of her prayers. She sounds so much like Timothy! :)

Luke's prayer reminded me of Adriel's when he was about that age. He prayed for SATAN!! In shock, I stopped him right then and asked "Why would you pray for Satan?" His answer: "Well Mom, how's he going to know the Lord?"
They'll get it right some day...
