Upon waking up yesterday morning, Luke told Susanna, "Remember when we went to sleep at Papa and Grandma's house? Then we woke up, and we weren't sleeping anymore! Remember that?"
And last night when he was obviously too tired to listen to her chatter, "Susanna, don't talk to me. If you talk to me, I am not going to talk back to you. So just be quiet and go to sleep. Now!"
Susanna, upon waking up, noted "What a fair day to go to the farm!" She didn't...and was devestated!
Luke, coloring a ladder in his coloring book with an orange crayon, when reminded to color in the lines and not scribble across the whole picture, "But I'm making a sunset, Mama!"
Susanna, upon being waken up Sunday morning for church, much too early for her, "Mama, stop singing that song. You are DRIVING ME NUTS!"
But redeemed herself at supper tonight: "Mama, thanks for all this really great food!"
Gotta love 'em!
