Making Grandma's cookies

making cookies
counting to 3
fruit of our labor
uum!
yummy!!!
After publishing Grandma's cookie recipe yesterday, we just had to make them today. In fact, that's the first thing Luke reminded me of this morning! (I'm wondering how many of my other cousins and relatives have made these this week....)
The kids were actually a big "help" but enjoyed eating the cookies much more than baking them!

Mmmm!! Wish I wouldn't have used all my M&M's this past weekend! Yours look great! Enjoy one for me, please!

I had EXACTLY 1 and 1/2 cups m&ms....after I raided the kids' M&M candy stash from Grandma Toth!

How did you get the kids to put the M&Ms on the cookies and not in their mouth? For some reason, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Ron's kids always manage to plead with huge eyes just begging for at least one M&M...but it usually doesn't stop with one...and of course, grandma just gives them M&Ms, each time saying, NO MORE! Even that doesn't work with a grandma. Wonder how Gram did it?
I actually bought M&Ms today to make those yummy cookies this weekend. Love you.

I just told them their job was to put 1, 2, 3 M&Ms on top of each cookie and none in their mouths until after the cookies were done. They even carefully wiped off their fingers whenever they got cookie dough on them instead of licking them off. Yeah, I'm amazed, too.

There was one extra left; Luke ate it before Susanna saw it.

Tell the kids not to worry. Precious grandma has a few more packages of M&Ms to send with you. Won't take up much space in your carry-on.
